The stand is factory adjusted to maintain the adjusted height for Gateway 17-inch and 19-inch flat-panel monitors. If you use this stand with a lighter monitor without adjusting the weight setting of the stand, the stand will raise your monitor, and if you use a heavier monitor, the stand will lower your monitor. -
