Electrical Requirements

protected by a 15-amp or 20-amp dreuit breaker or time

Extension Cord Cautions
Because of potential safety ha/_trds associated with certain
conditions, we strongly recommend against the use of
an extension cord. However, if you still elect to use all
extension cord, it is absolute]_ necessa*w that it be a
Uldisted, 3-wire gToundinDtype appliance extension cord
and that the current carJying rating of the cord ill amperes
be equivalent to, or greater ttlan, tile circuit rating.
Grounding

Preferred Method

Tlle power cord of this appliance is equipped with a
3-prong (grotmding) plug which mates with a standard
3-prong grounding wall receptacle to minimize tile
possibility of electric shock ha/ard fl'om this appliance.
Tlle customer should haw tile wall receptacle and drcuit
checked by a qualified electrician to make sure tile
receptacle is p_ operly grounded.
Where a standard 2-prong wall receptacle is encountered,
it is tlle personal responsibility and obligation ot the
customer to haw it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall receptacle.
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR
RFMOVE THE THIRD (GROUND) PRONG FROM
THF POWER CORD.
A word about GFCI's----GFCPs axe not required or
recommended for gas raaage receptacles.

detected. These devices must be manually reset by tlle

A. Usage Situations where Applimlce Power Cord Mll be
Discommcted Infrequently,
An adapter may be used only on a 15-amp circuit. Do not
use an adapter on a 90-amp drcuit. _4]mre local codes

to a properly gro/mded two-prong wall receptacle by tile

stores. Tile larger slot in tile adapter inust be aligned
with tile larger slot in tile wall receptacle to provide
proper polaris' in tile connection of tile power cord.

CAUTION: At a,hi.g the adapter gr,,..d

ground the appliance mfless the cover screw is metal,
and not insulated, and the wall receptacle is grotmded
through tile house wiring. Tile customer should have
tile circuit checked b)' a qualified electrician to make
sm'e tile receptacle is properly grolmded.

always hold the adapter with one hand. If this is not
done, the adapter grotmd temfinal is very likely to break
with repeated use. Should this happen, DO NOT USE
