How to Light a Gas Surface Burner
Push the control l_lob in and turn it to
tlle LifE position.
You will hear a little clicking noise--

When one burner is turned m LITE,M1

disassemble or clean around any burner
while another burner is on. An elecuic
shock may result, which could cause you

Sealed Gas Burners
The smaller burner
(fight rear position)
will give the best simmer results for
delicam foods, such _ks sauces or foods
which need m cook over low heat for a
long time. It can be turned down to a ve_ y
low setting.
The largest burneis are higher powered
dlan tlle otlleis and will bring liquids to
a boil quicke_.
How to Select Flame Size
Forsafehandling of cookware, neverlet theflames

X4ratchthe flame, not die knob, as you
reduce heat. The flame size on a gas
burner should match the cookware
you are using.
Any flame larger dlan tile bottom of tile
cookware is wasted and only se_'es to heat
tile handle.
In Case of Power Failure
In case of a power failure, you can light
the gas surface burners on your ivmge
with a match. Hold a lit match to the
burne,, then push in and mrn the conuol
knob to the/.lEE position. Use exueme
caution when lighting burners this way:
