    Replacing Gateway M305 Components Preparing your work space Before performing maintenance on the notebook, make sure that your work space and the notebook are correctly prepared. ■ Wear a grounding (ESD) wrist strap, and use a grounded or dissipative work mat.

Do not lay components on the outside of antistatic bags because only the inside of the bags provide electrostatic protection.

  • Page 19 Replacing Gateway M305 Components Unplug the two antenna cables, noting how they are installed for later re-assembly. Move the antenna wires out of the way, then press outward on the clips at both sides of the card until the card tilts upward.
