High-quality, HD Recording
Records 1080 line HD video using MPEG-4, the new standard for HD
video compression, enabling smaller file sizes for better bandwidth
management, while maintaining extremely clear and detailed
images. Selectable bit rates of 20/12/6 MB/s offer added file size
and quality control. Captures still images in JPG/TIFF/BMP formats.
Simultaneous Recording to Two
External Media
Having two external media
options adds convenience
and improves workflow.
Rather than take time to
copy footage to external
media after a procedure,
users can burn a disc or save to a USB
drive on the fly. This greatly reduces post
op time for finalization of the recording,
so the O.R. can be turned
over more quickly.
Real Time Streaming
Connects to the hospital network, enabling live transmission of
procedures to other practitioners or students outside of the
operating theater for training or monitoring purposes.
Universal Connectivity and Compatibility
Multiple video input formats enable compatibility and integration
with virtually all surgical system manufacturers. Accepts a wide
range of video interfaces and signal types: HD-SDI/DVI-D/SD-SDI/
Composite/S-Video, as well as 1080/60p by conversion to
1080/60i or 1280/720p.
* OPSIGATE System must be purchased separately.
**NOTE: data writer only; playback from PC DVD and Blu-ray drives only, not consumer players.
Enterprise Recording and Retrieval Solution
with Optional OPSIGATE System
Automatically sends recorded images to Sony's OPSIGATE Content
Management and Delivery System*, comprehensive web-based
software pre-loaded on a professional server, which resides on the
hospital network for central archiving and file sharing. This enables
effective network-based
sharing of recorded
material throughout the
healthcare enterprise
and gives surgeons se-
cure network access to
their cases/image files,
eliminating the need to
organize their cases on
portable media.
Broad Support for Portable External Media
Built-in optical disc drive supports DVD and Blu-ray disc**.
Front and rear panel USB ports also accommodate USB portable
hard drives and USB flash memory (thumb drives).
High Capacity Recording
Robust 320GB internal hard drive stores more than 30 hours of HD
video, and the Blu-ray disc external media can store more than
nine hours of video per standard disc.
Supports Sony Medical Printers
Includes drivers for UP-DR80MD, UP-55MD and other Sony medical
printers with optional setting to print stills automatically. Includes
"back to live" feature that provides surgeon with momentary
onscreen confirmation (on
surgical display) that still image
was captured, with "back to live"
