Simply brilliant.
Sony's HVO-1000MD Medical Blu-ray
brilliant video and simplicity of use to an array of
sophisticated features.
A global leader in HD technology with over
25 years of innovative healthcare product
development, Sony continues to play a leading
role in the evolution of HD technology for surgery.
Sony's full line of high-definition medical video solutions include
such products as digital capture systems, DVD recorders, HD
cameras, printers and monitors. In response to the growing
demand for a high quality, feature-rich, yet affordable HD video
recorder is Sony's latest flagship model, the HVO-1000MD Medi-
cal Blu-ray Recorder, designed specifically for capturing still and
video images in the O.R.
The Blu-ray recorder's high-resolution video images are integral
for documenting surgical procedures for patient records,
referring physicians and education and is ideal for capturing
new techniques for surgical training and for collaboration with
colleagues. Compliant with medical safety standards, this
recorder is just what the doctor ordered for a range of medical
applications including endoscopy and laparoscopy as well as
for recording still and video images from surgical microscopes
and other surgical cameras.
Recorder brings
Precise recording skills with a great
bedside manner.
Sony's Blu-ray recorder offers the best of both worlds: sophistication
of features with simplicity of use – an ideal combination for today's
surgical recording workflow. Gone are the days of recording on
VTRs and DVRs; the HVO-1000MD recorder is the next generation
HD recorder offering the flexibility to simultaneously record to its
internal hard drive as well as to a Blu-ray disc and a USB thumb
drive or portable hard drive – an extraordinary time saving fea-
ture that allows one to finalize a Blu-ray disc and walk away with
a copy of the surgical footage in less than one minute, virtually
eliminating the downtime between surgical cases.
The recorder easily connects to the hospital network for archiving
to a central server and offers live streaming of video recordings to
medical staff or students outside the operating theater. Its com-
pact size makes it an easy fit for the surgical cart, and its intuitive
front panel design makes it simple to operate.
Boasting high-quality HD recording at 1080-line video using
MPEG-4, the new standard for HD video compression, this
recorder delivers extremely clear and detailed images. A
robust, 320GB internal hard drive stores more than 30 hours of
HD video, and the external Blu-ray disc can store more than nine
hours of HD video per standard disc. Best yet, it captures still as
well as video images, a must-have feature for any O.R.
