Set the camera clock (pg. 14).
Set the clock to local time (pg. 86).
Choose a language (pg. 14).
When silent mode is on, the fl ash does not fi re (except when
using A mode), operation sounds and the shutter sound are
not heard, the sound is muted when playing back movies or
voice memos, and the self-timer lamp and shooting indicator
do not light (pg. 36).
Reset all settings except Frame number, DATE/TIME, TIME
DIFFERENCE, BACKGROUND COLOR, and VIDEO SYSTEM to default
values. A confi rmation dialog will be displayed, press the
selector left or right to highlight OK and press MENU/OK.
Format internal memory or memory cards (pg. 87).
Choose how long pictures are displayed after shooting (pg.
87).
Choose how fi les are named (pg. 88).
Turn the shooting indicator on or off (pg. 88).
Adjust the volume of camera controls.
Adjust the volume of the shutter sound.
Choose shutter, start-up, and control sounds (pg. 89).
Control the brightness of the monitor (pg. 89).
Turn display power saving mode on or off .
Choose the auto power off delay (pg. 89).
Reduces camera shake and moving-subject blur.
Remove "red-eye" eff ects caused by the fl ash.
