VOICE CAPTIONING

PHOTOGRAPHY MENU

This function can be selected in the "
image mode.
Voice Captioning allows you to record a voice
captioning (comment) up to 30 seconds long for
an image immediately after you take the shot.

Audio file size: Approx. 240 KB
(for a 30 seconds voice captioning)

The sound recording time may be shorter than
30 seconds depending on the available space on the

SmartMedia.

Take a picture as normal. The "
" still
message then appears on the screen.

If you do not want to record a voice captioning, press
the "BACK" button. Note that the image will still be
recorded.

1Press the "MENU/OK" button to start
recording the voice captioning.
2During audio recording, the remaining time is
shown on the screen and the self-timer lamp
blinks.
Face the microphone (➡P.8) on the front of the
camera to record your comment. Hold the camera
roughly 20 cm (7.8 in.) away for the best results.

When you have recorded 30 seconds of sound, the
" " message appears on the screen.
To finish: Press the "MENU/OK" button.
To re-record your comment: Press the "BACK"
button.
