From the Home screen, open the application list and
select Talk.

Enter your Google account and password and select Sign
in (if necessary).

Customize your status, image, and message to display.

Add friends to your friend list

From the Home screen, open the application list and
select Talk.
The friend list shows all of your Google Talk contacts at a
glance.

Enter an email address of the friend and select Send
invitation.
When your friend accepts the invitation, the friend is added to
your friend list.
