Configuring settings for Camera

→ photo settings or video settings. Not all of the following options are available
Tap
in both still camera and video camera modes. The available options vary depending on the
mode used.
• Focus Mode: Select a focus mode. Normal (default) is camera-controlled. Macro is for
very close objects.
• Anti-Shaking: reduces image blur due to movement of the camera.
• White Balance: Select an appropriate white balance, so images have true-to-life colour.
The settings are designed for specific lighting situations.
• ISO: Select an ISO value. This controls camera light sensitivity. It is measured in film-
camera equivalents. Low values are for stationary or brightly-lit objects. Higher values are
for fast-moving or poorly-lit objects.
• EV: Adjusts the brightness level of the image. Select 0 for normal, 1 or 2 to increase
brightness, -1 or -2 to decrease brightness.
• Effects: Apply a special effect such as Sepia tone or Mono (black and white) .
• Auto Contrast: Improves clarity when illumination intensity varies excessively within the
image.
• Photo resolution / Video resolution: Select the resolution option.
Using Bing Vision
→ Bing Vision to scan codes to view more information, or to extract text from
Tap
documents.
Scanning a code
Aim the rear camera at a code. After the code is scanned automatically, tap the code number
to view information.
Scanning a document
Aim the rear camera at a document, and then tap scan text. Select a word, and then tap
translate to view the definition of the word.
To search the web with a keyword, tap search.
