We recommend this hookup to view cable or satellite service, and DVD of BD movies on your
TV with optimum video quality while using an A/V receiver for sound. This connection should be
used if all your equipment has HDMI jacks. If your TV has a DVI jack instead of an HDMI jack,
you can use a HDMI to DVI adapter.

Notes:
Instructions and a list of additional cables required to connect audio components to the
A/V receiver can be found in a separate section at the end of this document. Refer to
this section to make sure you have all of the cables you will need before starting to
connect your equipment.
Your A/V receiver may require an additional audio hookup when using the HDMI
connection. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with your A/V receiver for
additional information.
1. Connect the coaxial cable from the wall to the RF IN jack on the set-top box.
Note: If your satellite service does not include local channels, you may want to connect an
antenna to the TV IN jack on your satellite receiver. Refer to the operating instructions for
specific information on switching between satellite and local broadcasts.
2. Connect an HDMI cable to:
a. HDMI OUT jack on the set-top box
b. HDMI IN jack on the A/V receiver
3. Connect an HDMI cable to:
a. HDMI OUT jack on the DVD / BD player
b. HDMI IN jack on the A/V receiver
