EZ Upgrade 1.8T includes: Apricorn's EZ Gig II Backup & Upgrade Software, a
Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hard drive enclosure, (USB 1.1 compatible) a mini USB cable
and auxiliary power cable.
EZ Upgrade 1.8T is all you will need to easily transfer everything - data, applica-
tions, documents, address books, email, settings, OS, and preferences - from the
old hard drive to a new drive, in 3 easy steps.
First step, connect the hardware by sliding the new hard drive into the EZ Upgrade
1.8T enclosure and connecting to the device's (notebook, handheld computer, MP3
player, PDA etc.) USB port. Step two, run EZ Gig II's cloning utility by booting to the CD.
Step three, install the new hard drive into the device. That's it -you're finished!
Once the new drive is installed, the old drive can be used in EZ Upgrade 1.8T's Hi-Speed
USB 2.0 enclosure as external. When used with EZ Gig II, the external drive becomes a
state-of-the-art backup solution.
The EZ Gig II Data Transfer Utility offers two different options: Disk Clone and Disk Image.
The Disk Clone option creates an exact clone of a hard drive and is perfect for upgrading hard
drives, or for a creating a Disaster Recovery Clone - The Ultimate Backup Solution.
The Disk Image option is an ideal backup tool. Disk Image creates a compressed "image" of
an entire hard drive, or an individual partition of a hard drive. Disk Image can compress data up
to 1/2 its original size, allowing backups to be made to a smaller hard drive, or multiple backups
of a larger hard drive.
Image EZ provides password protection for backup images, and a comments field so each image
can be labeled and easily identified. Image EZ also allows restoration of individual files or folders.
