Step 3: Installing the Chassis

The Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Switch or Appliance is shipped with rack-mounting ears attached, and
the desktop/shelf mounting rubber feet in a separate bag. Mount the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or
Appliance as follows:

When you are mounting the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance on a desktop or shelf,
adhere the rubber feet to the bottom of the chassis, and place the chassis on any secure
horizontal surface. Note that you may also remove the rack mounting ears from the Alcatel
OmniAccess Switch or Appliance, if desired.

When you are mounting the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance in an EIA-standard rack,
attach the ears to the equipment rack using the factory-supplied screws. Note that you can
remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance, if
desired.
