Pan size recognition

The pan size recognition system
automatically switches on the outer
circle of a double circle zone or the
extended cooking zone when a large
metal pan is placed on the hob.
A short line will appear in the top left of
the light ring n to indicate that the
outer circle / extended cooking zone
has been switched on.

Switching off pan recognition

Pan recognition and pan size
recognition can be switched off to allow
you to use other non-metallic pans such
as glass or ceramic.
Proceed as follows:
^ Switch on the cooking zone by
touching the - or + sensor.
A 0 will flash alternating with the ß
symbol in the cooking zone display.
^ Touch - or + again until the ß goes
out. You can now select a power
setting.
The pan recognition and pan size
recognition features are reset to
standard settings when the cooking
zone is switched off.
