Connecting the Telephone Line
On thebase, plug one end ofthestraight telephone line cord into the jack ontheback
ofthebase a nd the other e nd intoamodular wall t elephone
jack.
Connecting the CordedHandset
1. Connect one end ofthe coiled h andset cord tothe jackontheside ofthe base.
2. Connect the other end ofthecoiled c ord tothe jack onthe handset, then place
thehandset inthebase c radle.
Setting the Ringer Volume
Youmay control the ringer volume levelwith the switch located on the back of the
base.
ll_ = ringer tone will be loud
= ringer tone will be low
=telephone will not ring
Wall Mounting
the Base
Thebaseis packaged with the pedestalattached in desktopmode. Tomount the
baseon the wall:
1. Turnthe baseover and removethe pedestal.
2. Rotatethe pedestala half turn, and align it with the bottom of the base.
B. Attach the pedestalby first inserting the tabs on the pedestalinto the slotson the
bottom of the base,and then push the pedestaldown until it snapsinto place.
/4. Plugthe telephoneline cord into thejack marked PHONE LINE on the back of the
baseand the other end into a modular phonejack.
5. Feedthe telephoneline cord and ACpower adaptor cord through the grooveson
the pedestalto allow the unit to rest flat against the wall.
6. Slipthe mounting holeson the pedestal overthe wall plate postsand firmly slide
the unit into place.(Wallplate not included.)
7. Removethe handset hook, turn it upsidedown, and put it back in the slot. You
need to do this so the corded handset doesn'tfall out of the base.
8. Placethe corded handset in the basecradle.
