If not, the BD player will automatically revert to Dolby Digital 5.1 on the HDMI output (if supported
by the HDMI-connected audio receiver).
If the HDMI device connected to the BD player does not support any Dolby codec (TrueHD, DD+,
or DD), the BD player will automatically revert to PCM on the HDMI output.

The number of PCM channels will match the number of audio channels in the original
codec (7.1 channels for DTS-HD and for DTS), IF supported by the HDMI receiver or TV.

Otherwise, the number of HDMI channels will match the capabilities of the HDMI
receiver (or TV) connected to the BD player.

To guarantee that 7.1-channels are always available on the analog outputs, always
select one of the PCM options from the setup menu.
6. DD+ is only possible in this case if a DD+ capable HDMI audio receiver (see note 1) is connected to
the HDMI output of the BD player, and an HDMI TV capable of 720p or higher resolution is also
connected.
7. Tru-HD is only possible in this case if a Tru-HD capable HDMI audio receiver (see note 1) is
connected to the HDMI output of the BD player, and an HDMI TV capable of 720p or higher resolution
is also connected.
