5. Themowerwas shippedwith the mulchingcover
installedon the unit. For baggingpurposes,youwill
need to attachthedischargechuteand grass bag in
placeof the mulchingbaffle.
a. Removethree wingnuts holdingthe mulchingcover
in placeand removethe cover.
b. Replacewith dischargechute,while makingsure
the frontlip of chutegoes underthe edge of the
deck.Securewith wingnuts previouslyremoved,
Figure3-4.
c. Lift chute door on the dischargechute and slide
grass bagontothe chute, Figure3-5.
6. Followthe stepsbelowto installthe sidedischarge
chute:
a. Removemulchingcoveror grassbag from unit by
disconnecting wing nuts.
b. Attachsidedischargechute to unit and securewith
the threewingnuts,Figure3-6.

Thecuttingheightadjustmentleveris locatedabove
the rear left wheel, Figure3-7.
a. Pull the leverout and awayfrom the mower.
b. Movethe leverforwardor back for desiredcutting
height.
c. Releaselevertowardsmowerdeck.
Theadjustmentwheelis locatedin the drivecontrol
handlehousingand is usedto tightenor loosenthe
drivebelt. Youwill need to adjustthe drivecontrol
if the mowerdoesnot propelitself with thedrive
controlengagedor if thedrivewheels hesitatewith
the drivecontrolengaged.
If eitherof theseconditionsoccur,rotatetheadjust-
mentwheelto adjust thedrive control,Figure3-8.
