Zooming
You can zoom in and out for close ups or wide-angle
shots (up to 22 times) just by
pressing
the zoom buttons on the camcorder.
The camcorder
can automatically
focus
when you zoom at most distances.
To record a close-up
of a small subject closer than three feet, turn on the TELE
MACRO
feature in the main MENU.
This feature allows you to record a small subject
at a distance of approximately
23 inches.
You can zoom up to 44 times using digital zoom.
Zoom Buttons
(T and W)

(Rotate or Press In)
Use the Zoom Buttons (W and T)
1. To zoom in or out, press one of the
zoom buttons on the camcorder.
Press the button lightly to zoom
slowly and firmly to zoom faster.
• To move the lens in the telephoto
(close-up) direction, press T.
• To move the lens in the wide
angle direction, press W.
• The zoom level indicator
appears in the viewfinder.
Use the ZOOM SPEED Menu
Select ZOOM FAST or ZOOM SLOW
using the menus.
1. Make sure the POWER switch is set to
CAMERA
and the AE dial is not set to
AUTO.
2. Press the MENU dial in to display the
main MENU.
