Playback on a TV (or VCR) with Audio/Video/S-Video
Input Jacks
1. Turn on th_ _ ['V and tune it to the' vich'o input chann_'t or turn on the' VCR and place
it in the' 'lin_" or 'cam_'ra mode". (If" your VCR do_s not have a lin_" or cam_qa
mode,', consult the" VCR users guide.) Opt, rate the" TV as you normally do to s_'_, the"
signal coming fiom the" VCR.
2. Op_'n the LCD monitor.
3. Pn'ss in th_ _ Lock button and s_'t the POWRR switch to the PLAY position.
4. 'l_xlch the" on scre_'n I_[AY/5"77LI. button to b_'gin playback.
I)uring playback, use tile playback f_'atures.
5. Press S70P when you are finished.
Notes:
It is recommended to use the power supply instead of the battery for power to
achieve uniform playback.
Adjust the TV sound volume to its minimum level to avoid a sudden burst of
sound when the camcorder is turned on,
If you have a TV or speakers that are not specially shielded, do not place the
speakers next to the TV as interference will occur in the camcorder playback
picture
Dubbing to a VCR
1. Following the" illustration conn_'ct the" camcorder and the VCR.
2. Pn'ss in the" Lock button and s_'t the' POWER switch to the" PLAY position. Turn on
the" VCRs pow_'r, and insert the' appropriate" tape's in the" camcorder and VCR.
3. Mak_ _ sure the" VCR is in th_ _ appropriate, AUX (IANR or VH)EO IN) mo&" and in the"
Record Pause" mode'.
4. ls_' the' camcordors on-scr_'_,n FF, RtZIX,_and I)LAY/S77Ll. buttons to find a spot just
before tile edi>in point. Once it is reached, press PlAY/STILL on the camcorder.
5. When you're ready to start recording, press PlAY/STILL on the camcorder and press
tile appropriate record button on the VCR.
6. When you want to stop recording, press the VCR's pause button and press PIA}7
STlLL on the camcorder.
7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 for aclditional editing. Then stop the VCR and camcorder
when finished.
