Using menus
Apart
from
the
main
feature,
DVDs
may
have
other
material
recorded
on them, Other
DVDs
require
you to use menus
to enjoy
them•
The actual
operation
of the menus
depends
on the disc, so
here we will explain only the basic steps.

Changing soundtracks
Some
DVDs
have
more
than one soundtrack
recorded
on them,
such
as
multiple
languages
or
PCM,
and
you
can change
soundtracks
during
play.
During play
Press
[AUDIO]
to change
the audio
number.
The audio number changes each
time you press the button. You can
also use the joystick
( •, • ) to
change the number.
When playing
DVD-Audio,
play
starts again from ihe beginning of
the track.
Even if a second soundtrack isn't
recorded
on a DVD-Audio,
two
soundtrack numbers will normally
be shown when you press [AUDIO].
The soundtrack currently playing is
number 1.

• You can only select languages or sound formats if they have been
recorded on the disc you are playing•
• You can also make language settings before play with the Audio
language settings (,,k Page 26). Some discs are designed to start
in a certain language despite any changes you make to the initia_
settings.

The top menu is used if there are different titles included on the one
DVD.
The group menu is displayed if you are playing DVD-Audio.

Using this feature
with karaoke
discs
You can do the following with karaoke discs•
While playing a karaoke disc
Press [AUDIO] and use the joystick to change the mode.
The mode switches each time you press the button.
