(PIP)
(_) FREEZE (FRZ) button (With PIP ON)
If you wish to freeze the sub-picture, press the "FRZ" button. This is convenientwhen trying to write down the
address for a mail order company, recordingstatistics for a sporting event, etc. To return the picture to motion,
press the button again.
I NOTE:
The FREEZE function will only operate when SINGLE PIP mode is chosen.

FREEZE (FRZ) button (With PIP OFF)
Press the "FRZ" button without a sub-picture and a screen appears which allows you to use CURSOR &, • to
select which type of FREEZE mode you wish to view.
SINGLE FREEZE
Press the "FRZ° button a second time to freeze one frame of the pictureyou are currentlyviewing. Press this but-
ton again or "PIP" to return to normal viewing.
STROBE FREEZE
Press the "FRZ" button a second time to freeze four frames of the picture you are currentlyviewing. Press this
button again or "PIP" to return to normal viewing. This feature is useful forviewing a moving picturethat has many
details, for example, a close play in a sporting event or golf swing.

A pattern burn may developif the sub-picture is left in the same corner permanently.If the PIP
feature is used frequently, occasionallyshiftthe sub-pictureto a different corner. You may also

vary its position using the CURSOR buttons.
NOTE:
1. Only sound from the main picture can be heard, unless you choose sub-pictureaudio from HOME
THEATER-WIRELESS SOWND modeand use the "TRANSMITTER OUT" outputson the rear panel.

2. Each freeze frame is delayed about 0.1 (1/10) second.
