  • Page 8 BEFORE USING YOUR LAWN MOWER, AGAIN REFER TO THE "SAFETY RULES" AS SHOWN ON PAGE 2 OF THIS MANUAL. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL. The operation of any lawn mower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields before starting power tool operation or while performingany adjustments or repairs.We recom- mend Wide Vision Safety Mask for over spectacles or standard glasses available at Sears Retail or Catalog Stores.

  • Page 11 LUBRICATION • Remove the bolt and blade bell supportwhich hold the blade and adapter to the engine crankshaft. ENGINE OIL RECOMMENDATIONS Remove the blade and adapter from the crankshaft. A 27 ounce bottle of SAE 30 oil is included with your new lawn mower.
