An internal coolingfan operates during all oven modes.
Thewarm air from the oven isexhaustedthrough
vents located at the rear of the cooktop.
Do not allow the airflow from the rear vents to be
obstructed by cookware or towels.

Aluminum
foil
Do not use aluminum foil to line oven bottoms.Thefoil
will trap heat below and upset the performance of the
oven. Foilcan melt and permanently damage the oven
bottom. Damage from improper useof aluminum foil is
not covered by the product warranty.
Foilmay be usedto catch spills by placinga sheet on a
lower rack.several inches below the food .Do not use
morefoil than necessaryand neverentirely cover an
oven rack with aluminum foil. Keepfoii at least 1-1/2"
from oven walls to prevent poor heat circulation.
Note: "NOFOILON OVENBO]7OM"note is enameled
on the bottom of the oven cavity and is designedto
withstand self-cleaningtemperatures.0o not attempt to
peal or serapeoff.

Foreven cooking and proper browning,there must
be enough room for air circulation in the oven.
Bakingresultswill be better if baking pensare
centered as much as possiblerather than being
placedto the front or to the back of the oven.

pans/sheets
Usethe proper baking pan.Thetype of finish on the
pan effectsthe amount of browning that will occur.
• Dark,rough or dull pans absorb heat resulting in a
browner,crisper crust. Usethis type for pies.
° Shiny,bright and smooth pans reflect heat,
resulting in a lighter, more delicate browning.
Cakesand cookies requirethis type of pan
or sheet.
• Glass baking dishes also absorb heat. When
baking in glass baking dishes, the temperature
may need to be reduced by 25°£
Preheating
Allowthe ovento preheat before placing food in the
oven. Preheatingisnecessaryfor good resultswhen
baking cakes,cookies,pastry and breads.
Note: Condensationor faggingon the insideof the
ovendoor glass is normal during the preheatingof
the ovenand will evaporate usuallyby the end of the
preheating cycle.
