TO REPLACEHEADLIGHTBULB
• Raisehood.
• Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
backside of the grill.
• Replace bulb inholder
an_dpush bulb
holder securely back into the hole in the
backside of the grill.
• Close hood.
INTERLOCKS
AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring maycause
your
tractor to run poorly, stop running, or pre-
vent it from starting.
• Check wiring. See electdcal widng dia-
gram in the Repair Parts section.
TO REPLACE
FUSE
Replace with 30 amp automotive-type
plug-in fuse. The fuse holder is located
behind the dash.
TO ADJUST
ATTACHMENT
LIFT
SPRING
• While holding spdng bushing with
wrench, loosen jam nut.
• Turn adjustment bolt clockwise to
extend spdng and reduce lift effort for
heavier attachments.
• Turn adjustment bolt counterclockwise
for lighter attachments.
• Retighten jam nut against spdng bush-
in q..
IMPORTANT:
Do not adjust for maximum
spring tension when using light attach-
ments such as a mower. Adjust lift lever
spdng to aid in lifting attachment.
Do not
overpower spring. When removing attach-
ment, always adjust spring tension to its
lowest position.

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL
ASSEMBLY
• Raise hoed.
• Unsnap headlight wire connector.
Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
• To replace, reverse above procedure.

which are being done at the customers
expense,
may be performed by any non-
road engine repair establishment
or indi-
vidual. Warranty repairs must be per-
formed by an authodzed engine manufac-
turer's service outlet.
TO ADJUST
THROTTLE
CONTROL
CABLE
The throttle'control has been preset at the
factory and adjustment should not be nec-
essary. Check adjustment as described
below before loosening cable. If adjust-
ment is necessary, proceed as follows:

ith engine not running, move throttle
control lever to fast position.
Check that speed control lever is
against stop screw. If it is not, loosen
casing clamp screw and pull throttle
cable until lever is against screw.
Tighten clamp screw securely.
