REAR DEFLECTOR
The rear deflector, attached betwean the rear
wheels of your lawn mower, is provided to
minimize the possibilitythat objects will be
thrown out the reer of the lawn rnower into the
operators mowing posltlen. If the rear
deflector becomas damaged, it should he
repiaced.
TO ADJUST HANDLE
The handle on your lawn mower has three (3)
height positions - adjust to height that suits
you.
• Squeeze the bottom ends of tower handie
towards each other until the pin in handle
can be inserted into one of the three height
adjustment holes.

ENGINE SPEED
Your angine speed has been factory set. Do
not attempt t oincreaseengineepeadorit
may result in personal injury. If you believe

engine is running too fast ortoo slow,
take your lawn mower to an authorized
service center/departmant for repair and
adjustment.
CARBURETOR
Your carburetor has a non-adjustable fixed
main jet for mixture control, ff your engine

carburetor problems, take your lawn mower to

center/department for
repair and adjustment.

LAWN MOWER
When lawn mower isto be stored fora period
of time, clean itthoroughly, removeall dirt,
grease,leaves,etc. Store in a clean, dryarea.
• Clean entirelawn mower(See "CLEANING"
in the Maintenance sectionof this manual).
• Lub_ate as shownin the Customer
Maintenance sectionof_ls manual.
• Be surethat allnuts,bolts,screws,and pins
are securelyfastened. Inspect moving
partsfordamage, breakage and wear.
Replace ifnecessap/.
• Touchup all rustedorchippedpaint
surfaces;sand lightlybeforepainting.
HANDLE
• You can fold your lawn mower handle for
storage.
• Loosen the two (2) handle knobs on sides of
the upper handle and allow handle to fold
down to the rear.
• Squeeze the bottom ends of lower hendle
toward each other until pins in handle clear
the brackets and pivot entire handle
assembly forward and allow it to rest on
mower.
• When setting up your handle from the
storage position, the lower handle will
require manually locking into the mowing
position.
IMPORTANT:
When folding the handle for
storage or transportation be sure to fold the
handle as shown or you may damage the
control cables.
