ATTACHINGVACUUMHOSEADAPTER
See Figure5.
A 1-1/4 in. vacuum hose adapter is packed with the
sender. Thisadapter easily attaches to the sander if you
decide to connect the sender to a vacuum.
TO A'I'rACH:
• Unplug the sender,
• Remove dust bag assembly from sander. To remove,
grasp adapter and pull straightout.
• Insert vacuum hose adapter into dust exhaust.
• Push in on adapter until raised notch on top and bot-
tom of adapter snap Into groove In dust exhaust.
• Snugly attach vacuum hose adapter to vacuum hose.
• Connect vacuum hose to cleaner.

OPERATING
THE SANDER

WARNING:
Cl_mp or o_herwlse secure work to
prevent it Prom moving under the sender. Failure to
do so could result in unsecured work being thrown
towards the operator resulting i n possible sadous
injury.
Hold the sander in front and away from you, keeping it
clear of the workplace. Startthe sander by slidingthe
switch button to the on positionand lettingthe motor
buildto its maximum speed. Graduallylower the sander
on the work with a slightforward movement. Move it
slowlyusing forward and backward strokes,
Do not force. The weight of the unit suppliesadequate
pressure,so let the sandpaper and sanderdo the work.
Applying additionalpressureonlyslows the motor, rapidly
wears sandpaper end greatly reduces sander speed. Ex-
cessrvepressure wrrloverloadthe motor causing possible
damage from motor overhsetlngand can resultin inferior
work. Any finish or resinon wood may soften from the
frictional heat. Do not allow sanding on one spot too long
as the sander's rapid action may remove too much mate-
dal, making the surface uneven.
