Using the fmash
When the camera is turned on, the flash is automatically set to
Auto Flash. If you change the flash setting, the camera will
remain in that setting until you change it again or turn off the
camera.
To set the flash, press the Flash f button until the desired
setting appears on the Status LCD.The following table
describes the different flash settings:
Icon Setting Description

AUTO flash if necessary.
Red _ye The camera measures light and uses the
Reduction flash with red-eye reduction if
AUTO necessary.
i is behind your subject, you can use the
iflash to increase the light on the front of
iyour subject. This is also called "fill-
flash."
:: F lash Off iThe camera will not flash. Use this
isetting when you do not want a flash
i(such as with distant objects). This may
