Setting the Alarm

When the timer is set, the alarm will sound at the desired
time.
[On the remote control]

During playback or whilst in the stop mode,
press the DISPLAY button for 2 seconds or
more.

Within 10 seconds, select "ALARMon" by
pressing the or button and press the
DISPLAY button again.

Within 10 seconds, select the time by pressing
the or button and press the DISPLAY
button.
You can set the time from 1 to 99 minutes.
[On the main unit]

press the MENU button.
The unit enters the menu select mode.

Select "ALARM" by press-
ing the or button and
press the MENU button.

Select "ON" by pressing
the or button and
press the MENU button.

Select the time by pressing
or button and press
the MENU button.
You can set the time from 1 to 99 minutes.
When the set time comes
The alarm beeps repeatedly for one minute from the ear-
phones.
To stop the beep sound
Press any button on the remote control or the main unit.
To change the alarm time
Repeat the operation from step 1.
To cancel the alarm setting
[On the remote control]
Select "ALARMoff" in step 2.
[On the main unit]
Select "OFF" in step 3.
Notes:
! Press the
button after setting the alarm. The remain-
ing time will be displayed for about 1 second.
! Turn the power off after setting the alarm. The remain-
ing time will appear and the alarm beeps at the time
you set.
! When the battery runs out, the alarm beeps and the
setting is cancelled.
! If recording is performed, the alarm setting will be can-
celled.
! When the alarm setting is set, the unit cannot be
charged. Cancel the setting for charging.
