Finds all active channels and stores them in the TVs memory for access by CHANNEL (Ctt) up/down.
Edits the channels found when using AUTO CH. SEARCH. Use numbered buttons or CHANNEL
(CH) up/down to select the channel to be edited. Press ,ADJUST (ADJ) Left/Right to ADD or DEL
(Delete) channels to create your own list of favorite channels.
Sets the TVs channel selector (tuner) to match your antenna or cable TU system. The "IZINING
BAND was set automatically, if you used AUTO CH. SEARCH. You may have to set the TUNING
BAND manually, however, if you have problems with tuning channels. Press the ADJUST (ADJ)
Left!Right to select the appropriate options shown below:
BROADCAST -- is used for standard "over-the-air" brc,adcasts.
CABLE -- CATV is used for most standard cable-TV systems.
CABLE -- HRC is used for systems that are Harmonicall_ Related Carriers.
CABLE -- ICC is used for systems that are Incremental C 3herent Carriers.
Compensates for variations in TV signal frequencies, qNe AUTO TUNING was set automatically, if
you used AUTO AUTO CH. SEARCH. You may have to set the auto tuning, if you experience
trouble tuning channels. Press ADJUST (ADJ) Left/Right to select the appropriate opt:ions shown
below:
FIXED is used to receive "over-the-air" 'IV stations, and with many cable-TV systems.
SEARCH is used only when the TV must first find the frequency being received, such as
when used with certain cable-TV systems,VCRs and video game controllers.
Sets the clock in the TV to the correct time. Press ADJUST (ADJ) LefffRight to advance the clock, or
use numbered buttons on the remote to enter time. Press ENTER (ENT) to start the clock.
Displays closed captioning or informational text when available on the selected channel. Options are:
OFF, CAPTION 1, CAPTION 2, TEXT 1, or TEXT 2.

USING CAPTIONS
Press ADJUST (ADJ) Left/Right to select desired mode of op-
eration. Five,.different options are available and include:
OFF, CAPTION 1, CAPTION 2, TEXT 1, or TEXT 2.
At the time of this writing, very little appears in any selection
except CAFFION 1. Therefore you should select CAPTION 1
and leave it in that selection unless you know there is some-
thing you want to see in one of the other selections. Once you
make a selection, that selection is remembered until you
change it. "
