5 Operate the camera or video device to start playback of video.
The following appears ill the DVDirect's display window.

The DVDirect detects and selects video input signals autonmtically when you play, back
video lrom the connected video device. You can view the video playback in the display
window with the selecled input source displayed in Ibe lop left.
DV _ DVD : DV IN is detected.
Video _ DVD : VIDEO IN is detected.
SWideo _ DVD : S VIDEO IN is detected.
If the correct input source is not selected (or if the video playback does not display), press
or l_" to select the correct input manually.
Press the Q) (Record) button to start recording.
Dubbing from the camera or video device starts. During recording,
[Recording] appears in the display window as the video is played back.
Recording time
I1 you slop playback on the camera or video device durin_ recording (or the video signal
is inlerrupled), the DVDirect pauses recording and Ihe @ (Record) button flashes
slowly. To resmne recording, restart playback on the video device. If no video signal is
delected for 2 minutes, recording stops.
