About the extenders of U.S. TV ratings
TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14 and TV-MA ratings have
additional content ratings called "extenders" to
define additional viewing limits. The extenders are
defined as follows:
Option Description
D (sexually suggestive Programs containing
Dialog): suggestive dialog, or sexual
innuendo
FV (Fantasy Violence): Programs containing cartoon
violence occun'ing in TV-Y7
programs only
L (coa_se Language): Programs containing coarse
language
S (Sexual situations): Programs containing sexual
content
V (Violence): Programs containing violence
There may be some profanity,
violence or brief nudity in
these programs.
