Reducethe throttlesettingduringengine run-outand, if
the engine is providedwitha shut-offvalve,turnthe fuel
off at the conclusion of mowing.
IV. Maintenance and Storage
Keepall nuts,boltsand screwstighttobe surethe equip-
mentis in safe workingcondition.
Never store the equipmentwith petrolin the tank inside
a buildingwhere fumes may reach an open flame or
spark.
Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclo-
sure.
To reducethe fire hazard,keepthe engine,silencer,bat-
tery compartment and petrolstoragearea free of grass,
leaves, or excessivegrease.
Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or dete-
rioration.
Replacewornor damagedparts for safety.
If the fuel tank has to be drained, this shouldbe done
outdoors.
On multi-bleded machines, t akecareas rotating oneblade
can cause otherbladesto rotate.
When machineistobe parked,storedor left unattended,
lowerthecutting meansunlessa positive mechanical l ock
is used.
,WARNING: Always disconnect spark plug wire and
place wire where it cannot contact spark plug in
order to prevent accidental starting when setting
up, transporting, adjusting or making repairs.
