Q3: Can I connect the DynaMO directly to a video camera with a DV
terminal and transfer data from it?
A3: No, your DynaMO can only be used with a PC.
Q4: Can I connect more than one IEEE1394 I/F drive?
A4: Yes, you can. The number of drives that you can connect depends on
your system configuration.
Q5: Can I connect multiple PCs to one DynaMO 640FE/1300FE at a time
and use it?
A5: No, your DynaMO is designed for a single host configuration.
Q6: Is it OK to disconnect DynaMO with an MO disk inserted?
A6: While disconnecting the IEEE1394 cable will not hurt the data on your
disk, transporting the DynaMO drive with a disk inserted may damage
the drive.
for PC users
Q1: I have connected the DynaMO but no Removable disk icon appears.
A1: – Is the DynaMO correctly connected?
– Disconnect and connect again the IEEE1394 cable.
– Are the DynaMO and the IEEE1394 I/F card recognized on Device
Manager? From Control Panel, select "System", click the "Device
Manager" tab, and check that the DynaMO and the IEEE1394 I/F
card are recognized.
– There may not be enough power capacity. Disconnect the
IEEE1394 cable from the DynaMO, connect the supplemental
power supply (AC adapter), and then re-connect the IEEE1394
cable to the DynaMO.
