Installing a CompactFlash Memory Card

An optional CompactFlash (CF) memory card provides additional non-volatile storage
capabilities in 8, 16, 32, or 64 Mbyte increments. The CF's controller interfaces with a host system
allowing data to be written to and read from the CF's flash memory module. The XSR supports
Type I and II CompactFlash card types. Refer to
The CF's memory is large enough to store image files. You can do so simply by using the Bootrom
Monitor mode
cflash: directory while in the flash: directory, enter:
XSR>copy <source_name> cflash:<destination_name>

CompactFlash Card Installation

Follow the steps below to install the CompactFlash card:
1.
If your CF is already formatted, first remove the cover plate as shown in
formatted, jump to
