4. Select the Away tab.
5. Verify the Enable Away mode is selected.
6. Verify the Return the computer from Away mode on mouse or keyboard activity is
selected.
If this is not selected, the Intel Viiv platform can only be turned on by pressing the power
button on the PC or remote control. The keyboard, remote, and mouse will not turn the
system on.
NOTE
It is recommended to set the System standby and hibernate options to a specified
amount of time. This is recommended because the Intel Quick Resume
Technology Driver does not initiate the standby or hibernate options. If these
options are not set, the system remains on until it is manually turned off through
the Shut Down function in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition.
