Working with InstallShield Developer 7
To work with the OEM version of JRun for the Windows Installer development
environment, you copy the merge modules into your defined Merge Module folder, and
link the merge modules into your install.
Note: The JRun Core merge module is the minimum that is required to build a JRun
installer.
The following steps outline how to perform this task using InstallShield Developer 7.
Determining merge module location
You must specify the folder that InstallShield uses as a source of your merge modules. You
do this by launching InstallShield and changing the Path Locations. The following
procedure describes the steps involved in determining the merge module locations.
To determine the Merge Modules folder:
1 Launch InstallShield Developer 7.
2 Select Tools > Options.
3 Select the File Locations tab.
The following figure shows the File Locations tab:
4 Specify all folders where merge modules might be located in the Merge Module
Location field. The first entry in this list is your customizable location.
5 Click OK.
6 In Windows Explorer, copy the JRun4 merge modules into this folder.
