IBM iSCSI-attached System x servers
System i platform installations can use IBM iSCSI-attached System x servers. IBM
Director Agent provides support for the operating system running on these
System x servers.
iSCSI-attached servers are standard System x or IBM BladeCenter server models
that have processors, memory, and expansion cards, but no hard disks. All of the
disk space is in the System i product and managed in the same way as the
following technology:
v Integrated xSeries Server (IXS)
v System x servers that are attached to the System i product using the Integrated
iSCSI-attached System x servers are supported only on System i products running
i5/OS
