2. Pivot the drive-bay-assembly upward to gain access to the diskette drive.
3. Press the diskette-drive lock 1 at the side of the drive.
4. Slide the diskette drive 1 up and out of the drive bay assembly.
5. Disconnect the flat cable from the rear of the failing diskette drive.
6. Connect the flat cable to the new diskette drive.
7. Remove the lock bracket from the drive being replaced and install it on the new drive.
8. Install the new diskette drive into the bay and slide it to the locked position.
9. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 141.
