3. For HP-UX 10.x only, Configure X Windows and HP CDE or
HP–VUE.
If your system is running HP–UX 10.x, you can configure your graphics system(s)
through the HP System Administration Manager (SAM).
NOTICE:
To use SAM, you must be able to log in as root or superuser.
a.
Start SAM from the command line using the sam command of through the
System_Admin toolbox in HP–VUE or HP–CDE.
b.
Select the X Server Configuration option.
c.
Select any inactive subsystems.
d.
From the Actions –> menu select Add Screen to Configuration.
e.
Save the configuration file.
f.
Restart the system.
Your system is now configured to use the HCRX/VME graphics controller.
If you are running HP–UX 9.x, you already configured X Windows
or HP–VUE in Chapter 1.
