Using the Disk Cleanup utility

Click Start on the taskbar.

Choose All Programs, Accessories,
System Tools, and then Disk Cleanup.
Adjusting System Restore settings

Click Start on the taskbar.

Right-click My Computer.

Click Properties.

Select the System Restore tab.
Deleting recorded TV programs

Click Start on the taskbar, and then click My
Computer.

Double-click Shared Documents, and then
double-click Recorded TV.
Uninstalling software programs that are not needed

Click Start.

Click Control Panel.

Double-click Add or Remove Programs,
if it is present.

Click the program, and then click the
Change/Remove button.

Select the drive you want to clean up, and
then click OK.

Select the type of files you want to delete.

Click OK.

Select a drive, and then click the Settings
button.

Move the slider under Disk space to use to a
lower setting to save disk space.

Click OK, and then click OK again.

Right-click recorded TV files, and then select
Delete.
To delete a recorded TV program from within Media
Center, see "Deleting a recorded program or series"
on page 41.

Click Yes when the confirmation window
opens.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each program you
want to remove.

Click Close.
