Score creation workflow
To create a score, choose from dozens of score templates in a wide variety of styles. Then customize your composition
in the AutoCompose Score section of the Tasks panel.
1. Choose a score template
Soundbooth provides a number of score templates created by professional musicians. Each template consists of an
SBST file, which determines musical parts and parameters. You can preview these files in Adobe Bridge or the Mac
OS QuickTime Player.
2. Add an audio or video clip for reference
Though it can create music that stands alone, AutoComposer is ideal for creating scores that accompany voice-overs
or video soundtracks. Simply open the related audio or video clip in Soundbooth, and reference that clip as you
create music.
3. Customize the score to create a unique composition
Quickly set basic options to adjust length, musical parts, and instrumentation. If desired, animate parameters such
as Intensity and Melody with keyframes, creating dynamic compositions that evolve over time.
4. Export the score as an audio or video file
Export the score as an audio file, and combine it with referenced video in another application, such as Adobe
Premiere Pro. Or, export the score with referenced video in a single video file.
For a movie about creating scores, see www.adobe.com/go/vid0246.
