About the hot shoe cover
Remove the hot shoe cover when using a Live View Finder
(optional), External Viewfinder (optional) or External Flash
(optional).
Removing the hot shoe cover
While pressing down on the hot shoe cover release button
, pull the cover in the direction of the arrow

Be sure to attach the hot shoe cover when the hot shoe is not in
use.
●
Keep the hot shoe cover safely after removing it so that you do not
lose it.
●
When the hot shoe cover is removed, make sure that foreign
substances such as liquids or sand are not spilled on the
dedicated connector.

1 Self-timer indicator / AF Assist Lamp
Illuminates when the self-timer is set or
when the Auto Focus is operated in dark
locations.
