    Parameters and Settings This section introduces the parameters you are most likely to use when working with the e-DiagTools solution on Managed PCs either locally or via the TopTools Device Manager. These parameters and settings control the behavior and the on-screen attributes of the different software tools which comprise the e-DiagTools solution and TopTools utilities.

    The LAN Configuration Agent is part of the e-DiagTools solution. It is a software application pre-loaded on HP PCs able to make use of e-DiagTools. It is also available separately from the e-DiagTools support web site. When active, the LAN Configuration Agent runs each time Windows starts.

    If you want to inhibit managed PCs from using this feature, these two BIOS-related menu options can be disabled using the TopTools Device Manager. Moreover, on HP PCs with the hardware monitoring BIOS features, the Update BIOS options will only execute on successful entry of the BIOS’ administrator password by the user.
