  • Page 18 When the CPU is in place, push down the socket lever to secure the CPU. The lever clicks on the side tab to indicate that it is locked. Install a CPU heatsink and fan following the instructions that came with the heatsink package.

    Align the other end of the retention bracket to the retention module base. A clicking sound denotes that the retention bracket is in place. Ensure that the fan and heatsink assembly perfectly fits the retention mechanism module base, otherwise you cannot snap the retention bracket in place. Push down the retention bracket lock on the retention mechanism to secure the heatsink and fan to the module base.

You can clear the CMOS memory of date, time, and system setup parameters by erasing the CMOS RTC RAM data. Connect the USB module cable to any of these connectors, then install the module to a slot opening at the back of the system chassis.
