After entering the information for your network, click OK. The
Motorola Wireless Configuration Utility window is again displayed
and the new network is listed in the Preferred networks area.
SECTION 3, CONFIGURATION
CONFIGURATION
Description
The security key that applies to data
encryption or the network
authentication. This can be entered in
ASCII or hexadecimal.
Select the format used in the Network
Key field – ASCII or hexadecimal.
Determines the strength of the network
key. WEP128, the stronger security
regimen, is recommended.
The options are:

For WEP64 keys, 5 case sensitive
ASCII characters are allowed or 10
hexadecimal characters (using only
characters 0-9 and A-F).
!
For WEP128 keys, 13 case
sensitive ASCII characters are
allowed or 26 hexadecimal
characters (using only characters 0-
9 and A-F).
There are four Keys (1, 2, 3, 4) that can
be selected. The key selected must
match the wireless network's Key index.
This refers to dynamic key generation
provided by a RADIUS server. If your
network is configured with dynamic key
management, then check this box.
Otherwise, leave unchecked.
Select if the network you are creating is
a computer-to computer (ad hoc)
network.
