Broadcast reception
This section shows you how to receive radio broadcasts. You
can store up to 40 stations in the memory and recall them

with a single touch of the key.
Preparation
Switch the ON/STANDBY key to ON.

Receiving a broadcast station (other than RDS stations)

Switch the amplifier input to the tuner input.

Select the broadcast band.

Select the tuning method.

Each press switches the band as follows:
1 FM
2 MW
3 LW (U. K. only)

The tuner switches over as follows each time you press the key while
receiving a FM broadcast.
1 AUTO/STEREO
: AUTO lit (auto tuning)
2 HIGH BLEND
: AUTO lit, HIGH BLEND LED lit (auto tuning)
(available for the FM band with KTF-3010 only)
3 MANUAL/MONO : AUTO not lit (manual tuning)
÷ Usually, set the switch to AUTO (auto tuning).
Select HIGH BLEND (available with the KTF-3010 only) or MANUAL
when the radio waves are weak and there is a lot of noise
interference.(The stereo broadcasting is received in monaural dur-
ing manual tuning.)

Each time the ACTIVE RECEPTION key is pressed, the setting
changes.
1 ON (AR indicator lit ): when switching the IF BAND, RF ATT and
ANT A/B functions automatically.
2 OFF (AR indicator not lit ): when switching these functions manually.

÷ Usually, set ACTIVE RECEPTION key to ON.
÷ FM broadcasts are received in the optimum reception conditions.

Auto tuning : The next station found is tuned automatically.
Manual tuning : Keep turning the knob, checking the display, until you
tune in on a station.
