Application: Designed for 1987-1996 Ford F-150/F-250 pick-up trucks, up to 155" w.b., 2WD & 4WD with 5.0L, 5.8L V8 engine.
Suggested Tools for Installation:
K 3/8" rachet set with SAE and metric sockets
K Jackstands and jack
K Hacksaw (to cut intermediate pipe to required length)
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may result in
DISASSEMBLY
1. Raise vehicle and support with the proper jackstands,
leaving the suspension hanging.
2. Use caution around hot exhaust systems to avoid burns.
3. Use penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts, and rubber lube
on the rubber hangers.
4. Remove all nuts, bolts, and hangers from the rear of the
catalytic converter to the tailpipes.
5. Remove the old system.
INSTALLATION
1. Assemble the overaxle pipe to the muffler using two
gaskets and four of the 1-1/4" bolts, nuts, and
lockwashers.
2. Install the hanger supplied into the two rubber hangers
with the long side to the left so it will lean forward when
attached to the muffler flange.
3. Slip the overaxle muffler assembly over the axle from the
front and attach the hanger to the back side of the
muffler flange using the center hole with the 1-1/2" bolt,
nut and lockwasher supplied.
4. Slip the tailpipe assembly hanger into the rear rubber
hanger and bolt it to the rear of the overaxle pipe with the
remaining gaskets, bolts, nuts, and lockwashers.
WARNING: Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas. Correct any leaks before driving!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
K 15mm deep sockets
K Long pry bars (for removing rubber-mounted hangers)
K Tape measure
5. Now the assembly is hanging in place and you can check
the length of the Intermediate pipe needed for your truck.
Using the following chart, cut the Intermediate pipe to the
following lengths, measuring from the front 2-1/4"
swage back to the 2-1/2" tube size.
A. Standard Cab - Short Bed 117" Wheelbase
B. Standard Cab - Long Bed 133" Wheelbase
C. Supercab - Short Bed 138" Wheelbase
D. Supercab - Long Bed 155" Wheelbase
6. Deburr the cut and slip the 3" end of the tube into the
muffler. Install band clamps with the 2-1/4" clamp to the
front and slip the 2-1/4" end over the catalytic converter
outlet.
7. Level the muffler and adjust the system for clearance
from front to rear as you tighten everything up.
8. Install tailpipe tips using supplied band clamps.
9. Start your truck, check for leaks, and correct if any is
found.
NOTE: For those trucks that have Roll Pans installed, you can
modify the hangers to fit your situation on the rear exit
models. This will not be necessary on the side exit
models.
