Page 3: Replacing The Processor
You can upgrade your processor to take advantage of future options in speed and functionality. Each processor and its associated cache memory are contained in a pin-grid array (PGA) package that is installed in a ZIF socket on the system board. - Page 7 NOTICE: Be careful not to bend any of the pins when you remove the processor from the socket. Bending the pins can permanently damage the processor. Remove the processor from the socket and leave the release lever in the release position so that the socket is ready for the new processor.
- Page 8 Place one end of the heat sink under the retention module tab on the side opposite the removed clip, and lower the heat sink onto the processor until the heat sink snaps securely in the retention module. See Figure 1-3. Replace the retention module clip by pressing in on the tab and lowering that end of the clip into the retention module.

- Page 23 AVIS : prenez garde de ne pas tordre les broches lorsque vous retirez le processeur de son support. Vous risqueriez d'endommager définitivement le processeur. Sortez le processeur du support en le soulevant et laissez le levier relevé afin que le support soit prêt à recevoir le nouveau processeur. Alignez la broche 1 (le coin marqué) du processeur avec la broche 1 du support.

- Page 31 HINWEIS: Achten Sie beim Entfernen des Prozessors aus dem Sockel darauf, dass keine Pins verbogen werden. Das Verbiegen der Pins kann zu dauerhaftem Schaden am Prozessor führen. Entfernen Sie den Prozessor aus dem Sockel und lassen Sie den Freigabehebel in der geöffneten Position, damit der neue Prozessor in den Sockel eingesetzt werden kann.
- Page 32 Positionieren Sie eine Seite des Kühlkörpers unter der Halterungslasche auf der Seite gegenüber der entfernten Klammer. Senken Sie den Kühlkörper auf den Prozessor, bis er hörbar in der Halterungsklammer einrastet. Siehe Abbildung 1-3. Setzen Sie die Halterungsklammer wieder ein. Drücken Sie dazu auf die Lasche, und senken Sie die Klammer in die Halterung.

- Page 47 AVISO: tenga cuidado de no doblar ninguna pata cuando extraiga el procesador del zócalo. Si se doblan las patas, el procesador puede quedar dañado permanentemente. Extraiga el procesador del zócalo y deje la palanca de liberación en la posición de liberación, de modo que el zócalo esté listo para alojar el nuevo procesador. Alinee la pata 1 (la esquina impresa) del procesador y la pata 1 del zócalo.
