Getting Started
Adding memory (optional)
If the computer is on, begin at step 1; otherwise, skip to
step 3.
1 Click Start, and then click Turn off or Shut Down,
depending on the system (for more information, see
"Turn Off or Shut Down" on page
Click Turn Off or Shut Down.

The operating system turns off the computer.
Unplug and remove any cables connected to the

computer, including the AC adaptor.
4 Remove the main battery. For information on removing
the main battery, see
page
5 Close the display panel and turn the computer upside
down to locate the memory module slot cover.
