10.1.1 Disc Timer Recording Function

To enable disc timer recording on the loaded disc, set this function to ON. For
detailed information on using this feature, refer to Chapter 6, RECORDING
FUNCTIONS & OPTIONS, section 6.1.1 Disc Timer Recording.

10.1.2 Input Disc Name

Use the Input Disc Name function to assign a name to the disc. A disc name
appears when the disc is loaded and when displaying disc information.
Names (VR format – up to 64 characters, Video format – up to 24 characters)
may consist of letters, numbers and/or a limited series of symbols. Some
systems reduce the number of characters to the standard alphabet and to the
digits 0 through 9. Press the ERASE button to delete a character if
necessary.
Note: Discs formatted on a different recorder limit the character sets.
To create a name for a disc, follow the steps below.
1. Press the SETUP button to access the main menu.
2. Use the joystick to select Disc Setup.
3. Press ENTER to confirm the selection.
4. Use the joystick to highlight Input Disc Name.
5. Press ENTER to access the character menu.
6. Use the joystick to drop down from the name field to the characters.
Move left to select either Capitals or lowercase letters if necessary.
7. Select the first character for the disc name.
The selection appears in the field above.
8. Press ENTER to lock in the character.
9. Continue selecting all required characters.
Scroll down to the Delete button to remove the tentative name if
necessary. Press ENTER to confirm the deletion.
Scroll down to the SPACE button to add spacing between
characters. Press ENTER to confirm the space.
10. Scroll down to the SET button to lock in the name.
11. Press ENTER to save the name and return to the previous menu.
